Host a Candle Party at Home
Congratulations! You are about to host your first Deysi’s Candles candle party. A successful candle party is a partnership between you and Deysi. Here are a few tips to keep in mind as you work with Deysi and her daughters so you can both have a great Party:
BEFORE THE PARTY
• You’ve decided to Host a Deysi’s Candles candle party, so what do you do now? Deysi has all the tools you need for a successful Party so send us an email letting us know you would like to host a party. We will then mail you your Host packet. Take some time and go through your materials. Here you will find a catalog, the Host Party flyer, customer order forms for pre-orders and Party invitations.
• Schedule a date and decide on the type of Party you want to Host; do you want a themed Party such as a Girls’ Night Out, Step into Spring, Come and Go or do you want an afternoon tea. The possibilities are endless and you get to decide.
• Make your guest list out. Don’t forget all your neighbors, friends and family members-who doesn’t like a Party? Send your invitations out at least two weeks before your Party. Deysi will be more than happy to help pull together your guest list and mail out the invitations. Don’t be shy, just ask!
• Plan a simple menu for your guests. This can be as simple or elaborate as you want to make it. A few finger foods or desserts are a great ice breaker to help your guests mingle and get to know one another before your candle party begins.
• We will help you create a warm, inviting atmosphere right before your Party starts by lighting a few of Deysi’s candles, setting out your food and making sure you have plenty of seating for all of your guests.
DURING THE PARTY
• Greet your guests and make them feel at home. Then sit back and relax-the rest is easy! Just let Deysi take it from here as she introduces your guests to the great candle and home décor that Deysi’s Candles has to offer.
• Show your guests the Host Appreciation candle at the beginning of your Party so others can see what they can receive if they host a Party.
• Share with your guests your favorite Deysi’s Candles products or the special item that you are working towards earning with your Host Rewards.
AFTER THE PARTY
• Thank all of your guests for coming to your Party.
• Turn in any pre-orders you may have collected before the Party.
• Find out from Deysi the subtotal of your Party. You may be able to reach an even higher Host Rewards level by getting a few more outside orders; let Deysi know when you would like to close the Party.
